Issue with import using starting version 16 / 23

Hello !

Before, importing pictures was pretty simple:

open the import window (and insert your card)
0 pictures are already selected.
filter the pictures to import using the filter window
OR select "pick all" / exclude duplicate
Import

Now:

open the import window (and insert your card)
some pictures are already selected, the old ones (??)
filter the picture you wand to import
ah... pick all disappeared
disable the filter, find the old selected pictures are deselect them
re-filter the pictures
click on one picture,
do ctrl-A
click one one checkmark to select all pictures,
import

I find it's really more difficult.. I would have some feature requests:

get back the old import, eventually moving the filer window to a configurable filter tab
totally disable the cull stuff in import (or allow to configure the import tabs to be able to remove it)
improve "exclude duplicate": it's slow and sometime do import duplicates!

I'm looking forward to comments from other users!

The last checked images to import remain checked after importing. If you were to select images to import and have a need to leave the import window for some reason, when you return to the import window, your images will still be checked. Is this a useful new feature or a bug is for you to decide.

This is a bit counterintuitive. The easiest way to deal with it is to clear all checked images by clicking on the Pick all selection box twice.
