Images not completing export

This is extremely annoying since I'm trying to do something that should be simple, in a hurry in order to text a smaller file to someone for their birthday.

I am trying to export an image taken with my Pixel 6 phone. I've tried two different images. All that happens is that progress says 10 seconds left then 0 images exported, and I'm left with tmp files that I can't delete unless I close and reopen CO.

I wish I could see the dimensions in the image view instead of the ISO etc. which I don't care about for my purposes. But in Metadata it shows 3072x4080. One image was slightly cropped, and the other not. I tried exporting at 2048 long edge, then 2040 long edge for the second image (half). It has to be less, e.g. 1524.

Are you sure that the recipe you are using specifies a valid location for the output file?

Ian Wilson Yes, I've used that recipe before. And now, when I try to export a Sony a7r III image using a recipe that worked earlier, it creates jpg.tmp files that just stay there in my export directory. Today when I did it the desired file took a few minutes, and that was the only one I was trying to export.
