Edit Selected from Browser Toolbar issues - has anything changed with it in version 23?

I'm puzzled. I've had several issues with workflow and edits that seem to stem from the Edit Selected tool recently. I haven't changed my workflow and I've been using C1 pretty exclusively for 10 years now but I'm having weird things happening like adjustments being applied to entire folders of images or adjustments not being applied to selects in the same way they were in previous versions. Does anyone know if changes were made in version 23 to the way the Edit Selected tool works, specifically the one in the Viewer Toolbar, the stack of rectangles?
