Image Rendering on Tethered shooting with Canon r5
2 of my photographers over the last month have started having rendering issues shooting tethered with the r5 shooting into Macbook Pro's - having to click on another thumbnail and then click back to the recent capture to see the rendered file - not working great as we have clients sat with capture one in our studios who cant see the image. Any help would be much appreicated? any one else experiencing the same?

I am not an expert but I just want to say that you're experiencing issues with tethered shooting and rendering when using the Canon R5 camera and Macbook Pro. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
-
Check for updates: Make sure that both the camera firmware and the software you're using for tethered shooting are up-to-date. Sometimes updates can fix known issues and improve performance.
-
Check the cable: Verify that the cable you're using to connect the camera to your Macbook Pro is working correctly. Try using a different cable or a different port on your computer to see if that resolves the issue.
-
Check the settings: Make sure that the camera and software settings are set up correctly for tethered shooting. Check that the preview settings are set to "rendered" or "full resolution" and not set to "draft" or "low resolution."
-
Check the computer performance: Ensure that your Macbook Pro has enough processing power and memory to handle tethered shooting. Check that there are no other programs running that could be slowing down your computer.
-
Contact support: If you have tried all of the above steps and are still experiencing issues, contact the support team of the software or camera manufacturer for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or help you resolve the issue.
It's also worth noting that some users have reported similar issues with the Canon R5 and tethered shooting, particularly when using Adobe Lightroom. If you are using Lightroom, try switching to a different software like Capture One or EOS Utility to see if that resolves the issue. TellCulvers Customer Satisfaction Survey
