The application is too large
The Capture one application itself is now over 400GB, what are the possible causes and ways to lighten the capacity?

The application itself is around 1GB – where are you seeing that it is 400GB in size? Or are you referring to your catalog?

It may be a catalog. I will check later in the week. If it is a catalog, is it difficult to reduce its capacity?

Like Jack says, the application is almost 1 GB.
A catalog of 400 GB with managed files could result from around 10,000 files, assuming your files are 40 MB and your display is 5K, using the default setting. You would have to account for the Preview files and their size, which would reduce the total size of storage for the images files.
If you have a fast system, reducing the preview size will reduce the size of the catalog with minimum impact on speed. If you do reduce the size of the preview, you will have to regenerate the previews to reduce the size of the catalog. However, this will not have a huge enough impact on the catalog size to reduce it by much more than 100 MB even if you are using the largest possible Preview size and reduce the Preview size radically.
If your catalog uses managed image files, they take up space equal to their size. Moving them out of the catalog by making them referenced files will substantially reduce the size of your catalog.
