CO1 crashing when deleting files from an album

I have been experiencing repeated crashes when hitting delete to remove files from from an album. 

Specifically, after importing all my images from an event shoot into a session, I quickly divided them up into unique albums named for each particular vendor photographed. Then, while viewing images in an album, I ran through them, color tagged my favorites, selected the remainder and hit command "j" to temporarily hold them in Selects folder while leaving my selects in the Capture folder. Then I hit delete to remove the unwanted images from the album. This is where the crash occurs, repeatably. 

Once the application restarts, the album is still selected and all the images are still in the Browser but there are no longer thumbnails for the ones that I deleted. If I select all the blank thumbnails and hit delete, the app crashes. If I select them individually, I can remove the from the album without a crash the large majority of the time, though it has crashed once or twice trying this, too.

I am running CaptureOne 16.1.1.16 on a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max with 32GB of RAM.

The operating system is Venture 13.2.1

The images are Canon CR3s, created with an R6.
