Accidentally deleted the cocatalog file of a catalog
So guys I just did the dumbest thing I was able to do. When i wanted to delete the writelock file (oh thats a feature I really hate, but thats for another day) and deleted the .cocatalog file of the catalog.
Of course I have no backup. My adjustments and other folders are intact. Is there any way to recover at least which image had which adjustments? I dont care about extra metadata and recipes and such. I have C1 22

In the adjustments folder / LAM there are only the local adjustment masks. Unfortunately all other edits, including the edits of the layers, are in the catalog only. I'm afraid there is no way to recover anything.

I assume you have checked whether or not the cocatalog file is in the operating systems recycle bin?

I deleted with shift + del so thats that. Now Ill try to run a few circles with data recovery software.

In the end Easus Data Recovery saved me, and the fact that because the ssd is in a cheapo USB cradle, the OS could not enable TRIM on it, so it was still recoverable after a few hours.

So you're lucky today:-)
