No, as of the time of writing, the replace behavior is replaced with add behavior. Some like it, some not.Maybe this will change in a future update, who knows.

Try to disable OpenCL hardware acceleration for processing. Go to Preferences, General tab and set processing acceleration to Never. Restart Capture One and try again.
