Hi, that' strange. I use PhotoMechanic to make xmp-files; if I add, for instance, a keyword within MP and sync the annotations, MP doesn't destroy the file I produced with PM.

MakerNotes of Fuji are not readable in external software.Make your metadata like star-ratings with additional software during or after the import, then C1 will be able to read it.
