I'm not sure how to do that. My naive approach would be to duplicate the session folder, delete the single session file and create a new session in that existing folder... does that make sense?

I can also confirm this. Thumbnails for JPG files are visible in the finder ONLY when "generate thumbnails" was UNCHECKED!
