Thanks Ian.I have checked the actual folder and there is in fact only 1 copy of the image there. Yes, the images are stored on a file server, not in the catalog itself.Michael

Same here. I don't know how many times I've accidentally moved a directory trying to scroll in the folders box using the wacom touch scrolling. Sure wish wacom or P1 would fix this.

I think you nailed it with the levels. The black and white points are set with levels in C1 rather than sliders in LR. For a quick method, hit the AutoLevels button for a starting point.
