Thanks Ian.I have checked the actual folder and there is in fact only 1 copy of the image there. Yes, the images are stored on a file server, not in the catalog itself.Michael

I actually had a corrupted catalog due to a crashed computer. Used a backup of the catalog but still had to run the validate process on it several times before getting it to a stable position.Wish ...
