CO support wanted me to try to verify and repair the database.  The repair would pass then I'd go and run verify again (to check it) and it would fail.  At that point, CO wanted me to send in logs....

How about decreasing the flow of your mask? You'll have to paint over the area more for the mask to build but where it overlaps, it won't be as dramatic.
