    I tether a D850 to my mid 2014 MacBook Pro once or twice a week. The images load in 2-5 seconds which would suggest the issue is not with the camera.

    Thanks. That's kind of where I've been heading. Create a template for the first and then copy and paste to all of the images. Not the most elegant solution but better than nothing.
