This appears to be a Windows 10 problem, and happens during some updates. It looks like I have to reinstall Windows. (Which I won't do, time to stick with my Apple laptop, I am done with windows)

@fotojenic777 @robiwanThanks for your comments.The errors I was getting, it turns out ( 🤭 ) were due to a number of files, maybe 15 out of 3000, that had unresolved references to the original file....
