I see. That prompts another question. Is it ok to have a mixed or hybrid environment? In this case to have the Lightroom photos referenced and then to have future imports in the catalog?

Sorry. Yes, I'm using C1 9 latest update. Also OS X El Capitan. And, am using the catalog. I now see it is pointed at a folder.Thanks.

Ok. Thanks for the replies. So my current Lightroom structure is folder based. In order to make my Capture One structure look similar I think I will need to convert the folders to collections in LR...
