Just one more post on this; I just updated to 10.10.1 again and the problem is back, reset smc, twice, problem is still there. Hope someone at PO at least tests this out...-S

OK, I didn't know about the FW. You might be right that the smc reset might have worked in first place. Thanks for clearing that up 😊
