Updating to 7.2 has fixed the issue! Thanks for the suggestions. Love this software! Hoping that 7.2 will be the last update for a while.

I have created 4 different folders for a series of days. I am moving one of these folders at a time.. I am referring to color tags. Where does the color tag info live----?

Exact Same problem for me on our d810. BTW we are using this camera with the Schneider 90mm tilt-shift... very impressive.
