you can still create a tethered session even if you don't shoot tethered... BTW importing works ok for me so far (only tried it twice though), I'm sticking with 3.7.9 for the time being.

the session window can be set for tethered or non tethered using the drop down menu. select tethered and you'll see that you can set your capture folder as per 3.7.9. I haven't shot tethered yet as...

I'm with you for the most part, but i think with a little time it'll be second nature again. We didn't really bother with C1 4 LE as is really didn't like our network drives, so I'm not used to it....

I gathered this... seems like a bad move to me, we have thousands of C1Pro 3.x sessions, with many many hours of adjustments...We used to be able to manually create the folder structure of the sess...
