So...the solution or workaround to my problem was....locate the card on the desktop through the library tab....select all images and move to the capture folder ...then rename them.....SEAMLESS WOR...

Have you tried 'regenerate thumbs' , I think it's under File . I had a very similar problem and that worked for me.
