I have the same problem you mentioned when viewing photos in the Grid view. When I change to the Browser view (photos on the side), I click on a photo and it quickly opens for editing.

Having checked again to be certain all options are available I can confirm they are there. Perhaps reinstalling the update will solve your problem, unless you've done that already.

Perhaps this is a MAC issue. All the options are there in my Windows version.

Did you try restoring the default workspace? Go to the menu along the top...Window\Workspace\Default

Why not try copying the mask to a new layer and inverting it from there? See if that works. Barry
