Switching from within Capture One
With the release of Capture One 16.4.6, we introduced the option of upgrading your plan from within the software.
To do this, click on "My Capture One" on the top-right corner, then select "Upgrade your plan".
You will be able to switch from Capture One Pro to either All in One or Capture One Studio, or from All in One to Capture One Studio.
You will be presented with the price listings for the different plans and will have the option of inserting a voucher and redeeming any promotional offer you are eligible to.
Once you've chosen, you will be presented with an overview of changes to your current subscription as well as the subsequent payment amount. Both your billing cycle and license key will remain unchanged. Click on PAY.
Once the payment goes through, a window will appear confirming the switch to your new plan. Click on Continue
Congratulations, you have upgraded your subscription: Your working environment will change accordingly, and you will be presented with a welcome guide to make the change as seamless as possible.

FAQ
Who is eligible for the switch?
Please, note – you won’t be able to change your subscription payment type while switching: it’s only Monthly à Monthly, or Annual à Annual.
Why don’t I see the option to switch under my account?
There could be multiple reasons, including:
- You own a perpetual license or a multi-user or Enterprise product.
- You own an old Capture One Pro subscription (4+ years), originally purchased through our previous payment platform.
- You own a subscription with the lifetime discount.
- Your was started as a brand one (Nikon, Fujifilm or Sony) (product discontinued in 2022).
If you own a subscription not eligible for the switch, you will need to cancel your existing subscription, and to get All in One or Capture One Studio as a new product.
How does this affect my Loyalty status?
If you switch between subscriptions, you will retain your loyalty status.
I already have a subscription for Capture One Live Unlimited. What happens to that?
We will automatically cancel your subscription to Capture One Live Unlimited as it is included in both All in One and Capture One Studio. You will no longer be charged for it and do not need to take any action. Any existing Live sessions you have will continue to be available.
How will my current billing cycle be affected?
If you select to upgrade in the middle of the billing cycle, after the completion of the upgrade, the existing billing cycle will remain the same and the same payment information will apply (therefore you will not be asked to provide any additional billing data). During upgrade, an extra charge (or refund) occurs immediately, and you pay the difference in the price based on the remaining period until the end of the current billing cycle.
How much will I be charged?
On switching, you will be charged the difference between the cost of the new subscription and your current subscription. For example:
I am on an Annual subscription with 6 months left:
- I will immediately be charged: (Cost of 6 months of All in One subscription) - (Cost of 6 months of Capture One Pro subscription)
- On my next renewal date I will be charged the price of an annual All in One subscription.
I am on a Monthly subscription with 10 days left:
- I will immediately be charged: (Cost of 10 days of All in One subscription) - (Cost of 10 days of Capture One Pro subscription)
- On my next renewal date I will be charged the price of a monthly All in One subscription.
Can I use a coupon code while switching from one product to another?
You can add your coupon prior to making the switch. The voucher only applies to the first payment. For the rest of the automatic renewals, the price will be at the standard rate.
Take a look at: Voucher Codes - usage and policy: When switching from one subscription to another.
Will I be able to switch back if I change my mind?
There is currently no automation for downgrading your subscription. If you decide that you want to reverse the switch and get back to your previous product – you will need to cancel your current subscription, wait until the end of your contract period and then get a new subscription.

Hello! I’m trying to purchase the all in one bundle and it’s impossible. I’ve updated my billing details 3 times and I still get the error that’s there’s a problem with it. What should I do?
how does this affect the Loyalty Program? I was told by a Capture One rep to wait until September to switch to subscription plan, now I'm being forced to switch by the end of June if I want a discount on the first year???
Hi,
You own a perpetual license that covers free updates up until September 30, so it just makes more sense to wait until then to update your license and use the Loyalty discount.
Regarding switching to All in One - you can do it with the 15% off up until June 30, which gives you a 3 months "overlap". Due to my calculations you won't lose much money-wise if you switch to a subscription close to the end of the Early Bird campaign and then add All in One to it.
If you want to discuss this in more details - let me know and I will transform your comment into a support request.
Thank you for your response, Kristina. It actually (I think) makes sense factoring in the monthly iPad and Capture One Live current pricing — which I currently do not have — in addition to the overlap of a few months.
Hi,
I have been a perpetual subscription owner for almost 5 years. My yearly subscription renews on the 1st of July. I am thinking about making the switch to All-In-One. However, from your article above, it seems like there isn't an option for an annual payment, which is the payment method I prefer. Is a monthly payment the only billing option? Will I be able to to switch to All-in-One and will I get a small refund from now to the 30th of June?
If I cannot make the switch, can I carry on with my perpetual subscription at the same price, or will this increase in my next billing cycle?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Monica
Android user here, any plans?
hey Gerhard Yurkovic, see this feature request here: Will we ever see a C1 Mobile Android release?
and be sure to upvote it!
I have the same question about Android, any reason to switch to All in one if I'm not an Apple person? I see the only advantage would be "priority support"?
