Why are you increasing prices?
We have all felt the impact of everyday costs increasing dramatically over the past few years.
During this time, we decided not to pass on these higher costs onto our customers, since we know how hard it has been for many photographers since the onset of COVID.
We're now introducing a small price increase to allow us to continue delivering the tools and features professional photographers rely on, while investing in improvements that bring even more value.
We have done our best to minimize the impact this will have on working photographers, and so for most of our users this will equate to an increase of less than $1 a month.
By how much are you increasing prices?
We are increasing prices of select products by 6%. For the majority of our users this equates to less than $1 a month.
Which products are increasing in price?
The following prices will increase by 6%:
- Capture One Pro (monthly & annual subscriptions)
- Capture One Pro (perpetual license)
- All in One (monthly & annual subscriptions)
What is the exact new price I am going to pay?
We calculate the new price as follows:
- (Current price + 6%) - (Applicable discount)
This means that if you have any applicable discounts, they will be carried over. Any percentage discounts will be calculated based on the new price.
When will I start paying the new subscription price?
If you are on a monthly subscription, the new price will take effect from your next renewal date that falls after April 3, 2025. You will receive reminder emails with details of the new price 7 days and 3 days before your subscription is due for renewal.
If you are on an annual subscription, the new price will take effect from your next renewal date that falls after May 1, 2025. You will receive reminder emails with details of the new price 30, 7 and 3 days before your subscription is due for renewal.
Please note that if you purchased through the Apple App Store the timing of the reminder emails may be slightly different.
I have a subscription through the App Store, how am I impacted?
If you have a subscription through the Apple App Store, the only difference is that you will receive reminder emails directly from Apple before your renewal date. The exact timing of when you will receive these emails may be slightly different from if you purchased via our website.
I have a discount on my subscription. How will the price increase affect this?
Any existing discount you have on your subscription will be carried over (as long as it is still valid). For example, if you receive 10% off your current subscription price, you will get 10% off the new subscription price.
Please note that if your discount only applies to your first billing cycle, it will not apply to the new subscription price.
I have a perpetual license. How does this impact me?
If you choose to purchase a new perpetual license, you will pay the increased price after March 3, 2025. If you wish to switch to a subscription, your loyalty discount will be applied to the new subscription prices.
I have one of the products listed as increasing in price, but I didn't get an email about this...
Our emails are sent out in batches over the course of a few days so you may not have received the email yet. Please also check that it has not ended up in your spam folder.
You will also receive several reminder emails with details of the new price before your subscription is renewed.
