Any idea why this (and about 50 similar photos) all have the read only icon and won't allow me to add keywords or otherwise modify? The drive is external but online, the file is read/write by everyone, is a normal JPEG file, and Enable JPEG Editing is checked. Thanks for any insight!

    Hi Jack,

    Thank you for your comment.

Please note that each side of an image should be at least 512px to be supported for editing.

The photos have 480px on one side, thus, the crossed-over pencil icon appears on the thumbnail.

Thank you! Not sure how they got resized to something so small.

Hello, When I'm on viewer mode. The photos that I did cropping on them are actually showed up as full photo WITH the crop that I did. I wanna see the photos resulted after the cropping as thumbnails ignoring the cropped area. If that makes any sense. Thanks

    Hello.
In capture one 21 pro, the thumbnails are really small and when you make them appear in XL size in the browser they look really blurry.

After investigation, thumbnails are located in catalog, under cache, in Thumbnail directory. They are .cot files, , which are just image file indeed.

But they are so small ... (15 to 20 kb) that it's an evidence they can not be sharp when in XL size.

Is there any way to have capture one use greater thumbnail ?  As of now, they're useless

    TIA

This is for example the screen capture of a thumbnail in XL size, and it is really blurry. The picture of course is not, it's perfectly sharp (as can be seen in the detailed screenshot above)
