Capture One can handle numerous open Sessions at the same time. First, go to Capture One -> Preferences / Edit -> Preferences (macOS/Windows). Make sure that the Open in new window option is selected under the Catalog and Session section in the General tab.
- When one Session is open, choose File -> Open Session to open another one.
- Browse and open the next session file [Sessionname].cosessiondb.
- It is now possible to drag and drop image files from one Session to another.

Hi, How do you "drag and drop images from one session to another". It is not working for me. I created a new session for my portfolio images and opened it in a separate window. I then try to drag an image from my catalog window browser (ctrl+b) to the new session window and nothing happens. Thanks.
Kalin Tabov Be sure to update your Capture One to the latest version. At the same when dragging and dropping you will need to drop the image in the desired folder within the session, like for example "Capture Folder".
For windows user it could be made a little clearer
e.g. Start Capture One, on the pull down menus select Edit -> Preferences
