Before deleting any Session folders located on the local disk, verify that all the folders and files are located on the external drive and make copies using your typical backup routine. You can verify the folder locations and contents from the Library.
Deleting a typical Session folder will delete the original image files. Before deleting it, make sure you have the copies and fully functional backups stored in a safe place.
- In the System Folders collection, navigate to the relevant session folder and then Ctrl-click/right-click (Mac/Windows) and select Show Info from the menu. The path to the images is displayed in the Where info field.
- You can also select an image from the Session subfolder and then Ctrl-click/right-click (Mac/Windows) and select Show in Finder/Explorer (Mac/Windows). If you have the Path Bar enabled in the Finder/Explorer (File -> View Show Path Bar), then the path can be confirmed. Alternatively, use third-party software to verify and validate the transfer.
- Once confirmed, drag the original Session folder to the Trash. Deleting a typical Session folder will delete the original image files.
