Please refer to the camera’s instruction manual for details on the appropriate connection method. For example, the Sony ILCE-7M2 (Alpha a7 II) has four menu options for USB connection (Auto (default), Mass Storage, MTP, and PC Remote). In this instance, the camera should be set to PC Remote. When the connection is established, all the camera settings that are selected in Capture One are transferred to the camera and the same settings made directly on the camera are transferred to Capture One. Therefore, you can choose between operating the camera remotely or normally with the software running in the background.
- Connect a supported camera to your computer via a USB cable. When successfully connected, the Camera Settings and the Camera tool are populated with the settings data from the camera.
- When a camera or a digital back is disconnected, do not reconnect it until the Camera tool status changes to No Camera Attached.

I have a fuji X-T20 and a brand new capture One for fuji software downloaded.
I plug in my camera through the USB port and open Capture One but Capture One does not recongize my camera. Image Capture, an app on my Mac Air, sees my camera and can download images. But Image One does not recognize my camera. Please advise
Hi Scott,
Thank you for your comment.
Please, check this article:

I've just bought the Capture One 21 Fujifilm to go tethering shooting with my Fujigfx50s, also bought a good cable for it and I have MacOS 11.0.1 Big Sur.
Capture One doesn't recognize my camera or connect with it. What to do?
The link above here doesn't work either.
Hi Inge,
Thank you for your question.
Make sure that you do not use extensions or adopters (only the powered ones) as they weaken the signal.
Also, please verify that there is no card inserted in your camera.
Here are other tips that will help you to troubleshoot the issue when the camera is not connected:

Hi Lily,
How do I connect my camera (Canon R5) via wifi and not with the USB cable?
Not like with the cable which then Capture identified the camera rapidly,
Via Wifi the software does not identify my camera to it.
Thank you,
Omri
