I'd like to know if Lumix S Series Lens are planned in near feature.

I feel this series is really needed in Capture One. I'd love so see them all supported, but those main focal length like 24, 35, 50 and 85 should be addressed first if that would be the case.

    • LUMIX S 14-28mm F4-5.6 MACRO (S-R1428)

    • LUMIX S PRO 16-35mm F4 (S-R1635)

What about the Zeiss Touit lens support for the Fuji X-System? I find these three lenses only for the Sony system supported...

    Hi Lily,

I'm looking for the Canon PowerShot G1X Mark III but apparently there is only the Mark II. Is it planned in an update?

    Best,

    Hello Team,

Can I request lens profile for Nikon 180mm F2.8 AF-D and Nikon 60mm f/2.8 Micro-NIKKOR AF-D lenses please ? I just purchased Capture One for Nikon and must admit that I was a little disappointed that lens profile for above do not exist. Please help.

    Hello.

    Two things:

I don't see a profile for the Sigma 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art 015 Lens.  It's been available for a while and seems significant enough to have its own profile.  Might one be available soon?

I don't see any "Manufacturer Profile" category option at all in my CaptureOne 20. If that is something that I should see by default, how can I remedy this?

It is very important and good that C1 now supports the Canon R5 with the last release.
It would also be important for me to support the RF lenses 15-35 / 24-70 / 70-200 and 85mm

  • Hans-Joachim Guhr

    @Lily.

That is my question. Also RF 85 1.2

I'd really like to see profiles added for my main lenses in Nikon F mount:

Tamron 35-150mm F/2.8-4 Di VC OSD

    Thank you

    Hi Lily,

thank you for the thread. It would be great if there was support for Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm 1: 3.5-5.6G ED VR. The lens has been around for a long time and, I think, is in demand by amateur photographers.

    Kind regards,
    Dmitry

    Dear Capture One Team,

Could you please add profile support for a Sony full frame lens: VOIGTLANDER APO LANTHAR 50mm f/2.0. It is a fantastic and high-praised lens that deserves to be taken onboard by C1.

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi,

Could you please add a lens-profile for my Tamron 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD lens (Canon mount)?

    It received:

    - an EISA Award for Photo Innovation of the year 2017-2018

    - a TIPA World Awards for best DSLR superzoom lens in 2018

Therefore it should definitely be supported by Capture One Pro.

    Thanks in advance.

    Yours sincerely,

    Dirk

Hi, when new Canon lenses like RF24-70 RF70-200/2.8 will be supported by C1? Also when Sigma 60-600 will be supported by C1?

    1
  • Hans-Joachim Guhr

    Hi

    I've been waiting since October 2019 (!) for C1 to support the RF lenses (especially RF 15-35, 24-70 70-200 and 85 1.2).

Other manufacturers (Adobe and DXO) can do this. Therefore, it is not a technical problem, but rather a WILL!

In return, the price for this basically good software has been increased significantly.

Each of you may decide for yourself. I've been using C1 since version 3 (more than 10 years). Since I switch my lens park from Canon EF to Canon RF, I will not use C1 (version 21) any more for the time being!

There are at least two entries in C1's blogs / forums in which users can enter their wishes:

    https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718318?page=1#comments

    and

    https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360012937417-Lens-profiles-support-please-submit-all-the-requests-suggestions-regarding-lens-profiles-here-?page = 1 # comments

There are now several hundred requirements for lens support. NONE of these was implemented in 14.1.

    I'm disappointed.

    Hi Maryna

but the Generic Profile is not usable for the RF 15-35, especially with regard to diffraction and edge blurring. Alternative lenses (EF 11-24 or EF 16-35) are also bad!

The few lens profiles available for the Nikon Z appears disappointing, given it's popularity especially with the newer Z 6/7 II models which are persuading hordes of existing DSLR shooters and photographers from other manufacturers (like myself) to upgrade/move to the Nikon Z ecosystem.

The following super popular prime lenses which are used by both pro & amateur photographers are of particular interest as they cover three key interest groups Landscape, Astrophotography & Portrait:

    NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S
    NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S

And I imaging many pros would also be interested to see the following lenses:

    NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S
    NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S
    NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S

Now correct my lack of knowledge here, but is the reason all these lenses have not yet been profiled by the Capture One team and are unlisted due to Nikon embedding their lens profiles as part of their raw source files or is it a case that you are still working on them?

Perhaps some clarity about the use of lens profiles for people that shoot straight out of camera JPG would also be useful.

Also is there an explanation/reason as to why all the Nikon Z cameras have the following footnote added to them? *Appears as Manufacturer Profile

  • Maryna Sopilniak

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your comment.

I have forwarded your request to support this lens profile to the dedicated thread - https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360012937417-Lens-profiles-support-please-submit-all-the-requests-suggestions-regarding-lens-profiles-here-?page=11#community_comment_360003937458

Hopefully, your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.

Meanwhile, please feel free to check this article on how to work with unlisted lens profiles.

As for your question, *Appears as Manufacturer Profile footnote means that inside Capture One it will show 'Manufacturer Profile' instead of the name of the lens and when 'Manufacturer Profile' shows, it simply means that there is a profile, but Capture One didn't custom create it.

  • Hans-Joachim Guhr

    Micha, I support you 100%.

It cannot really be that Capture One does not support professional lenses that have been on the market for more than 2 years.

In addition to your list, I am missing

    RF 85mm 1.2
    RF 100mm macro 2.8
    RF 100-500

As long as it does not provide a roadmap for the support of Canon RF lenses (of my 6 RF lenses only the RF 15-35 2.8 (poorly distorted) is supported), my roadmap with Capture One will finally end with version 21.

    Hi Michal,

as mentioned before here, this is a massive lack of respect to the customers using professional, up to date gear from Canon.

As nothing changed for the last year and a lot of those items are shipped by Canon (same with Sigma Art), I think Phase One has no interest in supporting them in a serious way.

Terefore I switched my software and do CO as a backup and for my other cameras. Because it´s better than other apps.

That´s a good workaround for me, not so good for CO - but I was tired to read release notes just for knowing everything is supported but my lenses.

  • Hans-Joachim Guhr

    Christian,

you must know, Phase One und Capture One are in the meantime two different companies!

    1
  • christian schmid

@Hans-Joachim Guhr: huh, didn't realise, sorry. But the problem remains the same. I'm annoyed seeing dropped by CO and even more annoyed using LR for my Canon R6. It's slower, not as versatile as CO and the files look worse. But it's the way to go.

If my other equipment changes, the software will change, too.

I think CO should have done the basics and then introduce fancy features, not the other way - like they do now. The last ones who have gone down that path were the Aperture-Guys from Apple.
