QUESTION
Do you have Capture One that can run on Linux?
ANSWER
We continually strive to make Capture One accessible on the newest hardware and operating systems, and we are aware of how important this is for many of our users, however, Capture One software is currently only compatible with macOS and Windows.

if there is a version for Linux, I and my friends will buy the license immediately. please also think of us Linux users. Thx!
Would buy multi license immediately
Linux has Davinci Resolve for professional grade video editing. But that OS lacks a professional grade Photo editing software. Adobe wants nothing of it for whatever reason. It would be nice to have its competitor to jump on Linux OS. Please consider building one for Linux platform.
Count me in! Capture One is the only reason for me NOT to fully jump on the linux train. I have my laptop dual boot (win/lin) just for Capture One and I'd love a linux version.
Linux version please.
Ehm.. Everyone.... look at this: https://twitter.com/captureonepro/status/1463511018039033859
Could it be? COULD IT BE?
Not getting my hopes up too soon but well, if they indeed address this in the upcoming releases that's an instant sale =)
Interesting!
I did not take the pre-release offers for C1 22 due to the non existing Linux option.
Only when a linux option is available I will upgrade again.
I would LOVE to have a Linux version now that version 22 will have the panorama stitching inside C1P, and so that I do not have to use Affinity Photo (otherwise I will require both C1P and Affinity Photo on Linux)
Wow, just wow.
I think this will be the last straw for me. I was using it in a Windows VM hoping that they would release a Linux version. I think its time to start learning a new piece of software. Sucks, they make a good product, but if they cannot support Linux, I am no longer going to support them.
I will not buy next version for windows :(
Hi Mark,
when reading CaptureOne's reply to your tweat (Nov 24) there seemed to be a bit of hope that C1 is actually listening to its customers.
Now not only that reply to your tweet got deleted; also the intermediate update to this Q&A text was reverted and even your post in this forum from Nov 25 was deleted.
Any background you might want to share?
Well, I was happy to see there might be some good news for us. But then they deleted their tweet. It seems they also deleted my posts about it. I'm guessing this one will also be deleted.
Do with that info as you will, but I'm: "#DoneWithCaptureOne."
Thanks Mark for the quick reply!
Similarly as mentioned by Hans Nalte above, I also decided against the pre-release offers for v22 and started to actively evaluate alternatives currently.
Big opportunity for Capture One to capture (pun certainly intended) the entire Linux pro photo editor market. Add me to the list of customers who would gladly subscribe/license the software if it were natively supported on Linux.
Is there any alternative available that can properly process Fuji raws from the X-Trans 4 sensors? Probably not, right? Cool.
I would absolutely buy a license for Linux right now too. A quality raw editor for Linux is the only reason i can't leave windows. I use Kubuntu 21.10
Already bought the license, please port to Linux!
C1 for LInux it's smart move. We are waiting too long... Please do it!
I bought a C1 21/22 license. I will only buy next one if it will be for Linux.
Flathub, a large Linux apps marketplace, will be able to host paid applications. It's in active development now. Obviously, this is a good signal for Capture One devs.
+1 ! I am also adding my comment to see if this gets considered.
+1 for Linux support!
Forget About C1 to Linux, it's never going to happen!
In a few years there will be a solution in the cloud together with image storage.
Until then, we have RawTherapee and Darktable.
For us who want to pay a little bit, we also have Aftershot pro.
+1 on Linux!
Blah blah blah, no.
While I'm using Linux for all general purpose computing I'm also running a Windows PC for just two reasons: Capture One and a bit of gaming. Windows (and Microsoft in general) has become more and more ridiculous over the last decade, and when I read that Microsoft wants to go all cloud-based with Windows 11 I know it's time for me to consider an exit strategy.
I guess the gaming problem can largely be solved with Steam for Linux, so the only thing I need is a solution for image processing. Now it's up to Phase One to decide if they want to be part of a solution or part of a problem...
+1 for Linux
I look at some of these comments like "I would really like to run just Linux and I would like to get rid of my Windows PC". Me on the other hand says "I really want to buy your Capture One, so please make Capture One for Linux (you could try to get it to run under WINE), because I will never run anything to do with Microsoft or Apple, so I will struggle on with Darktable and RawTherapee until then."
