Linux has Davinci Resolve for professional grade video editing. But that OS lacks a professional grade Photo editing software. Adobe wants nothing of it for whatever reason. It would be nice to have its competitor to jump on Linux OS. Please consider building one for Linux platform.

Count me in! Capture One is the only reason for me NOT to fully jump on the linux train. I have my laptop dual boot (win/lin) just for Capture One and I'd love a linux version.

Not getting my hopes up too soon but well, if they indeed address this in the upcoming releases that's an instant sale =)

    Interesting!
I did not take the pre-release offers for C1 22 due to the non existing Linux option.
Only when a linux option is available I will upgrade again.

I would LOVE to have a Linux version now that version 22 will have the panorama stitching inside C1P, and so that I do not have to use Affinity Photo (otherwise I will require both C1P and Affinity Photo on Linux)

I think this will be the last straw for me. I was using it in a Windows VM hoping that they would release a Linux version. I think its time to start learning a new piece of software. Sucks, they make a good product, but if they cannot support Linux, I am no longer going to support them.

    Hi Mark,

when reading CaptureOne's reply to your tweat (Nov 24) there seemed to be a bit of hope that C1 is actually listening to its customers.

Now not only that reply to your tweet got deleted; also the intermediate update to this Q&A text was reverted and even your post in this forum from Nov 25 was deleted.

Any background you might want to share?

Well, I was happy to see there might be some good news for us. But then they deleted their tweet. It seems they also deleted my posts about it. I'm guessing this one will also be deleted.

Do with that info as you will, but I'm:  "#DoneWithCaptureOne."

Thanks Mark for the quick reply!

Similarly as mentioned by Hans Nalte above, I also decided against the pre-release offers for v22 and started to actively evaluate alternatives currently.

Big opportunity for Capture One to capture (pun certainly intended) the entire Linux pro photo editor market. Add me to the list of customers who would gladly subscribe/license the software if it were natively supported on Linux.

  • Hi

Is there any alternative available that can properly process Fuji raws from the X-Trans 4 sensors? Probably not, right? Cool.

I would absolutely buy a license for Linux right now too. A quality raw editor for Linux is the only reason i can't leave windows. I use Kubuntu  21.10
