The orange gear icon appears during image processing. The icon should turn white when processing is complete. But the white gear icon does not appear on thumbnail(s) after processing is complete. How to fix that?
An orange gear icon will appear in a thumbnail while the file is being processed.
The icon will turn white once the processing is complete.
This icon also signifies that the file has a 'Variant Process History' that the user can access by selecting from the main menu Image -> Process History.
When the white icon does not appear on the thumbnails of the processed variants, follow the recommendations below.
1. First of all, check whether the processed variants appear in the specified location indicated in the File tab of the Process Recipe tool. If not, please refer to this article - Images will not process.
2. When the images do appear in the specified location but the icon is not there, that might be an issue related to the driver incompatibility on Windows-based computers. Windows users who may have recently installed driver updates should revert back to the version prior to this update to avoid any driver compatibility issues. Find the driver versions for AMD here and NVIDIA’s drivers can be found here.
3. Go to the Nvidia Control Panel and set the color settings from default to Use Nvidia color settings.
4. In some instances, it would be helpful to close other image editing software products while working in Capture One.
