With the ProStandard profiles, the colors are rendered more naturally, so there is a better transition between the hues and better retention of colors after the adjustments have been applied. Overall, the colors look natural from shadows to highlights with the ProStandard profiles.

5. Leica tethering
Basic tethering (without live-view) for already supported Leica camera models is now available in Capture One 21. Also, support for new Leica camera models was added in Capture One 21.
6. Improved Importer
The Importer in Capture One 21 has several different improvements:
- Picker functionality to easily make the import selection
- Bigger import window with high-resolution thumbnails
- Improved terminology and descriptions of import destinations in Catalogs
- Option to select multiple folders to import from at the same time
- Option to select images directly in the Folder Browser
- First-time import requires fewer clicks
7. Improved performance
It now takes less time to import images, open Catalogs/Sessions, and browse in them. Please also note that performance improvements depend on the individual setup of the operating system, hardware, and other running processes.
8. Improved offline activation
For users who need to run Capture One in an offline environment, Offline Activation has been made easier with the use of a QR code.

11. Easy access to tutorials
It is now easier to find the best tutorials directly in Capture One. A new ‘Learn’ button has been added to the toolbar, opening a new section with curated tutorials for the best learning experience.
12. Style Brushes
Style Brushes were introduced in Capture One 21 (14.1.0) to facilitate the process of applying local adjustments to the image. Instead of creating a Layer, brushing a mask, and specifying the adjustments manually, the utilization of Style Brushes will streamline the workflow tremendously.

13. Import Viewer
The Importer has the option of displaying images in an Import Viewer as an addition to the standard thumbnail grid view. The new Import Viewer allows the sorting of images directly in the importer for fast culling, eliminating the need to later delete unwanted images from the Catalog or Session. This optimizes the workflow as image transfer and preview generation are reduced to only the images needed. The Import Viewer has minimal to no waiting time when switching between images, even if they are located on an external device such as a memory card.
To open the Import Viewer in the importer, simply double click an image, click the Viewer icon in the top left of the importer or hit G on the keyboard. Switch back to the Grid View by clicking the Viewer icon or hitting G on the keyboard.
By default, all images are picked for import. Unpicking all images can be done by deselecting Pick All at the bottom of the importer.
Use the following keyboard shortcuts to pick or unpick images:
S: Pick image
A: Unpick image
Spacebar: Toggle pick/unpick
The picked state of images is not persisted when closing the importer.
The Import Viewer utilizes the built-in preview of RAW files. The resolution and colors of this preview are dependent on the individual camera model and settings and do not necessarily reflect how the file will look once imported.
14. Leica Live-View with zoom & pan
With the release of Capture One 21 (14.1.0), we have added Live-View support with zoom and pan for the below cameras:
• Leica SL (Typ 601)*, **
• Leica SL2**
• Leica SL2-S**
• Leica S (Typ 007)
• Leica S3
Focus Nudge is currently not supported for any of the above cameras.
*Auto Focus is currently not supported.
** Zoom and pan are not fully supported yet. Limitations: Not showing full window feed-in Capture One while zooming. Pan is only possible using the on-camera controls and not from within Capture One.
15. Magic Brush
The new Magic Brush was introduced in Capture One 21 (14.3.0) to make brushing areas of similar color fast and simple. Simply draw a line or a doodle on the area you wish the mask to cover and Capture One will fill the area automatically.

16. Panorama Stitching overview
The Panorama Stitching feature has been introduced in Capture One 22 (15.0.0) to stitch RAW files into Panorama DNG files. From now on, you can create stunning panorama perspectives, achieve super-resolution, or get creative with an extremely shallow depth of field from multi-row stitching – all in Capture One. Panorama Stitch Tool outputs a linear DNG that behaves like a RAW file for further editing.
17. HDR merging overview
The HDR merging feature has been introduced in Capture One 22 (15.0.0). With this feature, you can increase the dynamic range of your images by merging your bracketed RAW files directly within Capture One. The result is a linear DNG that behaves like a RAW file for further editing.
18. Wireless Tethering (Canon)
Tether selected Canon cameras over the wireless network, or even via a network cable. Wireless tethered functionality is identical to tethering over USB. With Wireless Tethering you need one less cable on set, enabling a new and much more dynamic tethered shooting experience.
