Below you will find a selection of cameras that we are preparing to support in the latest version of Capture One, alongside our already comprehensive list of supported cameras.
We want to share this information with you to not only give an update on the progress of our hardworking Camera team, but to also provide a bit more clarity when it comes to providing camera support.
The 'expected month' is only an estimate and there can of course be delays in the implementation process. However, we hope it will at least give you an idea of when support is arriving for a particular camera model.
It's also important to note that we are often the first to offer RAW support. When this happens, converting your photos to DNG can become problematic.
If you experience any issues with a new camera when converting your files to DNG, then it is due to the camera not yet having a DNG color profile that Capture One can work with and means the issue is beyond our control.
Cameras coming to Capture One soon

Frequently asked questions:
When will Capture One offer support for my camera/lens?
When we say your camera is supported in Capture One, we don’t just mean that you can edit files from that camera in our photo editing software. We mean that we’ve calibrated the colors from your camera by hand, so that when your photo is imported into Capture One, your colors and details look as authentic as possible, just like when you captured it.
This process can take up to three months after our team gets the camera in hand so the date, we expect to support it is closely linked to when we can actually expect to have the camera.
Looking for a specific lens?
Lens profiles are lenses that have been tested in-house by our Camera team. You can still work with non-listed lenses, as the Manufacturer's profile is just based on information available in the RAW file that Capture One retrieves from the actual file.
The main difference between in-house lens profiles and the manufacturer profile is that the first also corrects for soft corners (Sharpness Falloff) and applies some additional settings like Distortion and Chromatic aberration.
Here are a few ways to work around an unlisted lens: Working with an unlisted lens profile

So does CaptureOne update previous versions when new cameras are supported? In my case I have the R5C but am still running CaptureOne 21 (14.4.1). In my Aperture days this was the case.
For the GH6: July become August. Here is the August release and guess what: "The 'expected month' is only an estimate and there can of course be delays in the implementation process." My weather forecast two month out is more reliable...
@Adamski Older versions are not updated when a new camera is released. The full camera support list can be found here: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718118-Camera-models-and-RAW-files-support-in-Capture-One- and it includes the version the camera was added in.
@LoDown I understand that not having file support for your camera is frustrating at the very least. However, we try and be as transparent as possible in order to keep you posted, instead of just leaving you in the dark. We will improve and learn from this, whilst keeping users as informed as possible.
Would earn more trust from your customers by admitting there has been a problem instead of ignoring it.
The date for the GH6 release keeps moving and with zero explanation. Yes these things happen, but please be upfront about the delays and perhaps even communicate with your customers who are experiencing an intense amount of frustration. It's all very well adding new features every 6 months or so, but right now there are precisely zero features that work with the GH6.
@Ewen Bell I'd like to think we've been as transparent as possible by making the camera implementation roadmap publicly available. If you'd like an explanation as to why implementation for this camera has taken so long, then it's not simple, nor is it something that can be discussed publicly.
I'm also here to communicate with you and hear your frustrations. Anything you have to say can be forwarded on to the appropriate people.
And August is now September. That is hugely disappointing and now costing me money because I can't do my work.
Well - to be more accurate, I can't do my work with CaptureOne and I am forced to move to another solution.
Jack - I do appreciate the transparency. I realize that global Mkt Share of Panasonic cameras is small and therefore prioritization of their cameras for profiling would be low, but at a certain point you have to say - Why Bother?
Slipping a quarter on a sw profile? That's a really long time.
On the off chance that this situation is because you didn't get test units (Obviously not your fault), do let me know, as I could likely facilitate via contacts I have. (I don't work for Panasonic, but...)
About GH6.It's not an estimate. It's a joke but let your clients down.
I appreciate the work toward GH6. Thanks.
Can y'all share some of the discussion points that come up around GH6's RW2s?
@Edward Thanks for your understanding.
You certainly raise a good point when it comes to test units, as this can be one of the roadblocks we face when implementing camera support. Though I can't say with certainty that this is the case for the GH6.
In a few weeks now, we hope to have implemented full support for this camera and can hopefully avoid it happening again in the future.
Hi Jack, you forgot to update the new expected GH6 support date to October. Might be best to set up a monthly reminder?
Support for the Panasonic GH6 has reached a roadblock due to the compression method that is used. I can't say any further than that, other than to provide you the update that you deserve.
Pretty shocking. Half-a-year later, and now Panasonic compression is too tough to work with?
What about the announced support (expected June/August/September 2022) for the Pentax K-3 III, on the market since 2021?
Pentax K3 III support was shifted and shifted and now its totaly removed from the upcoming, but there is no new release?
Thats pretty disapointing, hope this comes out in september as mentioned in this page for a long time.
Support for the GH6 is coming but the issue that has arisen means we cannot give an accurate estimate. Rather than putting another month in here, that let’s be honest, we haven’t been good at sticking to - I will provide an update when I have concrete information.
With regards to the Pentax K3, do not expect this camera to be supported in September or indeed any time soon. If you’re buying this camera specifically for use with Capture One, then I would advise against it.
Jack Williams not happy to hear that because it was already planned and listed on this page, so expected it to happen in a forseeable time range. I own this camera already since over a year and please dont get me wrong but for shure i will never choce my camera by the program. somehow the dng works up to now, but maybe i have to consider to change the program after years of usage when first bigger problems occure.
But thank you for the honest answer.
Roman Oberleitner I can fully understand why you're not happy. For what it's worth, DNGs from this camera will work as they are a generic file format - so it's effectively no different to using a JPEG. You just won't get colour and lens profiles for the K3.
I can really appreciate how frustrating this is. It's also frustrating for us, but we will continue to keep you updated as much as we can.
Thanks for your understanding.
GH6 support aborted well
make like me and ask for a refund for who have the license subscripion and wiat for 23 version. They give it to me. And add the len
Panasonic Leica DG 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0
for excuse to GH6 owner for this. The len come with initial kit and I have already asked for it.
Jack, thank you for the clarification. It is indeed very frustrating to wait well over a year for support that simply doesn't come, despite announcements, without further explanation. At least I know now that an upgrade to the next version will not be worth it. As a long-standing customer, I definitely would have expected more.
Processing DNG files from the Pentax K-3 III works reasonably well, but as soon as there are images with less light and correspondingly higher ISO values, Capture One fails as especially skin and hair tones are way off (gray/green instead of brown etc.). Thus, Capture One is sadly only of limited use when editing files from this camera.
Panasonic GH6 support has not been aborted; we just need more time than we initially thought. I don't want to provide an estimate and not be able to stick to it, as that can be frustrating for all of us. Rest assured when I have more information, you guys will be some of the first to know.
I've forwarded a request to R&D for the lens Ugo Merlini mentions - hopefully we can support this around the same time as the GH6. It's always worth checking the release notes for each update to see which lenses and cameras have been added.
Might I recommend the following pages that get frequently updated:
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718118-Camera-models-and-RAW-files-support-in-Capture-One- - Camera support
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718318-Lens-profiles-support-in-Capture-One - Lens support
Above all, I'm glad we can keep this dialog going and we'll continue to provide as many updates as possible.
ok is not aborted but think people like me who bought the license version of CO22 (not rhe subscription one) on June because the initial support was due for July and we arrived in August to Setptember. At this point I made my money check and I decide to wait CO23 (and asked the refund for CO22 who I obtained without any problem and here can I see you are serious company) because is useless having bought a piece of software that doesn't respect the thinks You wrote on tihis site additing the fact that usually is this period You announce the new version, why having an old version when is coming a new one? Other question I asked me on september was willl CO22 support GH6 Raw file? The answer can be found today MAYBE.....
Don't get me wrong I respect your effort/work/timing to suppport new cameras but I want respect for who invenst 300+ Euro in a software.
Ugo Merlini I find it hard to disagree with anything you've said. Submit a request and explain the situation you are in – I'm sure somebody from the support team will come up with a solution that you are happy with.
For now I used a program with less feature which support GH6 raw files but from the end of the month I will need something powerfull like HDR Merge, Panorama stiching and so on. So for now I'm happy with the accomodation that CO offer me to returned me the money I spent. I Hope that will be a grace period when CO23 will be annuonced and GH6 will be supported in CO22. With the program above was so difficult to make masks to exalt a thurderstorm lighting that I thought to go the other big program but I don't like subcription only programs
So I have my finger crossed for CO....
I currently use DxO for my GH6 files, but I'd much prefer using Capture One. So I check this page every morning, hoping for good news, and the good news has never come. At this point, it has become something of a ritual. I'm almost hoping that GH6 support never gets added and that this aspect of my life, ritualized morning disappointment, remains forever a part of my coffee regimen. I think I'll miss it when it's gone. It is good to be reminded of the lesson. Every morning. For half a year. Richly humbling. Profoundly unsatisfying. It is healthy to cultivate such feelings. Thank you, Capture One.
The great thing about digital cameras, is that there's always a new one to become obsessed with and make part of your morning routine. ;)
Is the GH6 support in C1 22 or only in C1 23?
I realise I‘m pushing my luck here…. but would it be possible to get a statement on the chances of future support of Hasselblad cameras? “Absolutely never going to happen”, or “Not completely ruled out, but not planned or on the roadmap” kind of level answer? There have been reports of statements from Hasselblad side (although nothing direct that I can find) suggesting that Hell freezing over is no longer a non-negotiable pre-condition :-)
I also want to know for sure if the GH6 will be supported in C1 22 or only in 23, as I don't want to miss the early upgrade offer.
However: I start to doubt if it will be supported at all in the foreseeable future, and as an owner of two GH6's which are my main hybrid cameras since more than half a year, I have to make a decision wether it is time to abandon C1 all together, as I had to with Aperture a couple of years ago. As a loyal annual upgrader for many years, this unclear situation is VERY frustrating, to say the least!
So before I shell out the money for the upgrade, I want to know if it's better to make another painful switch to a different RAW converter/photo organizer...
Heimo Aga Thorsten Kratz Support for the Panasonic GH6 will be included in both Capture One 22 and 23 – though I can't be specific on release dates, there's no need to upgrade in order to receive support for this camera.
David Mantripp How about "never say never"? ;)
Any news about support for the Pentax K3 III?
