The below issues are being worked on tirelessly in order to provide you with a better experience in Capture One for iPad. If you continue to face issues, then please submit a request with our Support team.
Keyboard does not appear when trying to sign-in/up
During the sign-up process, some users may experience an issue with the native iOS keyboard not appearing.
This can be resolved by forcing the keyboard open by tapping the language icon (EN, FR, DE and so on) and then selecting 'Show Keyboard'
The icon can also appear as a keyboard, instead of the language being used, if you are using a pen/pencil.
OR
Connect an external keyboard or other input device
OR
Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.
Please be aware that this will clear your browser history and website data.
See screenshots below:
As well as the above, consider taking the following steps when having problems displaying the keyboard on your iPad:
- Update iPad OS
- Check for app updates
- Tap/select a text field
- Rotate the device
- Force quit and restart the application
- Turn off Bluetooth
- Restart your iPad
Images failing to import / not appearing in catalog
We are aware that sometimes importing certain RAW file types, the import can fail without providing much context. This can happen primarily when importing from Photos and using RAF files.
If you run into any problems when importing images, it's recommended that you use Files as an import source, instead of Photos.
If you have images that are contained in Photos that you would like to import, then save them to Files and then run the import process again.
You can achieve this by selecting your desired images in Photos and then choosing 'Save to Files' as seen below.
Files are renamed upon exporting to Photos
This is not a Capture One for iPad specific issue. Any photos that come into the Photos app are renamed due to iPad OS functionality.
When prompted by the share screen (as shown in the GIF above) choose save to Files and avoid using Photos. Do not select 'Save Image' as this will save the exported image to Photos and your file will be renamed.
Profile mismatch
If you are using version 1.0.1 and you purchased your subscription using a coupon code, you may encounter a 'profile mismatch' message which prevents you from accessing the application.
Please ensure that you have updated to version 1.0.2 in order to fix this issue.
See here for information on how to manually update Capture One for iPad
Canon R7 and R10 files unsupported
Version 1.0.2 does not support files from Canon R7 and R10 cameras respectively. We are working on a fix for this and there is currently no available workaround.

I cannot stress this enough, ever since the beta, I have had nothing but issues with importing ANY, and I mean ANY image, raw, jpeg, tiff, jpg, etc. It does not matter. It doesn't matter what type of photo media; I get the same error (unable to load photos). I have tried every possible combination of Restart, Ram Clearing, Uninstalling, and Re-installing several times. The moment you pick any image, it constantly crashes.
I was useless using the beta because I would never be able to edit anything. The only time I could successfully import anything was when I started to Screen record the issue, finally letting me import (it would still crash for the better part), but it let me edit two photos.
I'm using iPad Pro 12.9, 1TB. It has the latest OS. This is the only App that I have encountered these issues.
Have you reached out to support regarding this issue? Seems like something we should look into and make sure you can get up and running. Reach out here and we can hopefully get it sorted.
How to delete all photos from iPad? As you can see, I have cleared images in capture on and its folde, there are no photos in Photos app. But, capture app still 38gb and Photos 80gb. The only way to clear storage is restore iPad from back up.

Same issue here, guess I have to cancel the subscription until this is fixed, I just can’t be resetting the ipad all of the time :( I haven’t found anyone offering a solution to this. Hope it gets solved soon, I really like being able to show the models the images even if they are unedited
Already 2 months since my comment and no reply from CO team. Great customer support, keep it up
It's hard to follow requests when you're using "FirstName LastName" – this also isn't the place for support, it's for user to user help. If you need support then submit a request with our support team.
In any case, I can see that there are no photos in your Capture One Catalog, that doesn't mean your device is clear of image files. You'll need to delete them natively in iPad OS via Photos or Files to remove images from your device. If your iPad is showing 79.79GB of data in the Photos app, then there must still be files present.
If there is a known bug related to this, then our Support team will let you know of a workaround, or we will investigate this and report it to R&D.
I personally haven't seen this before and can only go off of the screenshots provided.
