An official reason as to why "No Hasselblad Support"
Hi, I'm aware there's a lot of rumour and discussion about Hasselblad support within Capture One. Some say it's a long standing dispute between the two companies, and now C1 is refusing to add Hasselblad support, others say that Hasselblad themselves don't want to be a part of the software to protect their HNC system.
It would be great to hear peoples thoughts and understanding on it all as I'd love to find a way to champion this integration. I've read through the your forum responses to this and the answers have always been very vague "We will suggest it for a future release", but I'm thinking there must be more to it that this as you support almost every other professional level camera on the market.
Without honest background knowledge, is very hard to know how to go about getting it resolved.
P.S - Love your software, keen to make it work even better my work professional work flow, inc Hasselblad :)
Thanks,
Paul.

Can get there via a workround but would greatly appreciate integrated solution.

I agree, using workarounds is very cumbersome. Hope that this dispute will get resolved in the future. As it is now the Capture One customers are the losers.

Likewise, I would love if the two could integrate but and official explanation would also be nice?

I love my Hasselblad X2D - not giving it up. And I love Capture One it's an integral part of my workflow with other cameras - and I just upgraded to the All in One platform. Isn't there some negotiated solution so that the two can work together? I know there are workarounds and I use them but it's not as efficient as being able to work directly in Capture One.

Perhaps you can charge a premium price if support is with Hasselblad? There MUST be something you all can do!

I guess it's on me for not checking first, but this blows majorly. I just ponied up 300$ for C1 assuming they would support a major professional brand. But that was basically 300$ down the drain.

I'd go all in on Capture One if only it would support Hasselblad. I use my x2d for all my commercial work and am considering purchasing a second body. The Phocus software is fine but C1 has so many features I'd love to take advantage of if only it supported Hasselblad natively.

I think it will be hard to convince Hasselblad to trust Capture One with their closely guarded intellectual property as long as Capture One and PhaseOne are still owned by the same parent holding company. I would love to be wrong.

I hope someone from Hasselblad eventually reads this… This issue is preventing me from buying a Hasselblad, which I would love to own, but I love my Capture One workflow even more.
