How to create script to control adjustments?

I'm trying to connect my midi controller to C1 not using keyboard shortcuts but with apple script. Can someone write sample code with exposure +/- ? This could give me great starting point to map all knobs to adjustments.

  How is the script triggered? what input values are passed to it?
