Edit data storage - moving from LR
Currently in LR, I use the native MAC storage system with the original RAW files and associated XMP (sidecar) files that contain all LR edit data, both in the same standard file (not a photo database). When you work on an image, LR uses both files but only modifies the XMP file. It is in a simple Year / Qtr / Event structure, witch works well for me. I don't use a dedicated photo management system.
I would like to move to C1. LR allows me to view and print my old pics forever. If I use C1 is there any way to continue to use the same sort of system? That is C1 would use the RAW file in a standard file, create a second (sidecar?) file with all the edits and save that file in the same location.
Even if I move to C1 I would likely continue to use Adobe Bridge (BR) which is free and a great sorting and culling tool. It works with standard computer files. That makes for an easy transition as I continue to use one tool to sort and cull, view edited (LR) RAW files and view unedited C1 files. I can also stay with my existing storage and back up system.
Thanx for any feedback.

Ok, spent more time on the site and it look like sessions may do what I want. I'll get a trial and check it out. I still would appreciate any comments or tips.
Thanx
