    Hi Daniel

You might have a look at ACDSee. I used to use it for keywording and face recognition searches. It technically isn't a catalog but an image browser but it does store the information in a database and the image metadata or sidecar file. It is fast and depending the version quite capable at managing metadata Since I am Windows user I would recommend to test it thouroughly to make sure the mac version does everything you need. They used to give a 30 day trial for free.

Thanks Martin, I'll take a look. In case others are interested, I came across NeoFinder - Digital Asset Manager, looks very promising. It only has basic face recognition but that helps too.

I used MediaPro for many many years.  I now use PhotoSupreme.  It has a bit of a learning curve, but it does all MediaPro did and far, far more.

I understand that iMatch is on a par with PhotoSupreme from feature perspective, but it is Windows only. PhotoSupreme runs on macOS and Windows.

  • There's Cyme's Peakto, which will show Capture One variants.
