16.2 Stuck layer with Magic Brush causes loss of all the editing after close/start

It already happend to me twice with the 16.2 version, never with the older ones. I added a new layer in Layers tool by the [+] button, selected Magic Brush and started to select the area. It did nothing. The new "stuck" layer couldn't be removed by the [-] button. You can create another layers, but if you close the Capture One and start it again, all the edits of the particular picture are lost and the "stuck" layer is gone.

I can provide the log files.

    Please file a support request at the top of the page. It sounds like a concerning issue.
