how can I check on focus while tethering?

I photograph a lot of jewelry and I need the software to focus for me not the camera while tethering capture. Do I need a plug in?

  What camera are you using and which version of Capture One?

  You can focus nudge and use the focus meter when in live view only. You won't be able to adjust focus from the computer when outside of live view operation.

  Oh I see, gotcha. 

  How do you stop teather capture?

  Go to the Camera tool located in the Tether tab and click on the camera dropdown menu to stop tethering. Or you can just pull the cable out if you're not in the middle of transferring images.
