Normalise excluding masked area
I am editing a lot of fashion e-commerce photos and have been experimenting with masking and adjusting the studio background. I now wish to match all my backgrounds so they are consistent. I would for example apply the "normalise" feature, but exclude the masked area. However normalise only seems to work on the image as a whole. Can anyone help?
Or failing that, can you explain a quick way to match the white of my ecommerce backgrounds, I tried normalising only the white balance but again this does not work. I need the model to stay edited as she is, and masked off.
Many thanks

You can set the white balance in your layer mask independently from the background layer.
If the model's layer WB is still "Off", (which I assume because you say that "normalize" WB would affect the whole image) then set it to "As shot". Or just change the Kelvin value ever so slightly, which makes the layer WB "custom" and independent from the background's WB.
Something around those lines.
