There are quite a few use cases to run C1 on two machines at the same time, e.g.
- you are transferring your edited images from a session or catalog on a notebook to your desktop computer
- you want to verify what and why you find differences between there computers
- you run two different versions of C1 and want to test for differences in functionality
- you run performance comparison between your notebook and your desktop computer
Are we allowed to do this?
There is an article last updated beginning of August 2023 which states you can run C1 on two machines concurrently:
A single-user license is for one individual to install and use only. The single-user license may be used on two computers at a time and by the same individual provided irrespective of the number of available activations.
But the license agreement from May 16, 2023 tells us we are NOT allowed to run C1 on two computers at the same time:
2.4.1 Single user perpetual licenses for Capture One Pro
A single user license is thus for one individual to install and use
only. The single user license may only be used on one computer at a time and only by the same individual provided however, that the Software may be installed on up to three computers always provided that the Software is used at one computer at a time and only by the same individual irrespective of the number of
