YouTube presentations crib sheet & index/ Macro feature/ Levels & Curves
Hi,
A few suggestions:
YouTube presentations:
Would it be possible to cover 'Macro' photography in one of the (typically 1-hour duration) presentations run by David? (If non of you guys shoot macro perhaps ask a macro Photographer to join you for a shoot & edit, or ask your followers to submit an image for you to then work on.)
The C1 presentation are very informative and I think I've now watched them all. However, I find myself needing to repeat watch those of particularly use to me - and stop/ start to make my own notes to help things stick. Would it be possible for C1 to include some form of crib sheet which accompanies each presentation and captures the key learning points along with any shortcuts mentioned?
A full 'list' of C1 shortcuts would be useful, as would a comprehensive YouTube listing - inclusive of the dates when made/presented.
C1 appears to have reasonably frequent updates but why aren't the improvements described in written format, rather than just arriving as a download. What's different and how might this help the user?
There has been only one presentation which I was disappointed with: 'Curves and Levels'. The presentation didn't compare well against those given by David. (Please don't take this the wrong way, as my wife's first language is also Polish. Despite having studied here - as a foreign for student - for a second Degree, worked here for years, and being multi-lingual, she has explained to me that the task of presenting a technical subject in a second language is something on a whole new level...!)
The presentation didn't include:
- Any order of tasks which should normally be completed prior to selecting 'auto levels,' and why that's the case.
- After clicking 'auto levels' and then completing further task, should it be clicked again to optimise Black/ White points or would that potentially undo adjustments previously made?
- The "Output" vs "Input" terms weren't fully explained.
Keep up the good work and, if required, I'm happy to be contacted by C1 regarding the above.
Thanks,
Nigel

Hi Nigel,
In case you weren’t aware, Capture One release notes are always available for any release: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/categories/360000430178-Release-notes and they outline the major aspects of a release. That’s a good bookmark to keep around. Also, you can print all of the keyboard shortcuts (if those are the shortcuts you mean) from edit->edit keyboard shortcuts menu (not in front of C1 at the moment and will clarify later with specifics).Personally, I got a tremendous amount out of the curves and levels session, even after using those tools all the time.
Cheers,
Ray0
