Catalog currently in use

I copied a directory from my backup. When I try to open the catalog I receive the following message

The file is not currently open. I tried after a reboot and got the same message.

The backup was made before I had a disc crash. The current disk structure is not the same as it had been on the old disc. I have fixed this using on other directories using "Locate ...". However I cannot get to that point with this directory.

Thanks.

Is this an OS problem or a C1 problem?
