Monitors
Hi all.
That dreaded time has come around again where I need to upgrade my MBP, monitor and CO. I hate it! MBP & CO are easy but guidance with the monitor would be really appreciated.
I currently use an Eizo CG246. I've had it for may be 5 years and to be honest I've never really liked it. I've read a load of reviews on monitors but they are clearly (or not) written in a completely different language. I'm looking at a Dell U2723QE, Asus Pro Art PA279CRV or an Eizo CS2731. Which do you reckon?
All I shoot is wine in a studio and the images are for digital use rather than physical prints.
Thanks
Jon

That's... a bit remote from Zendesk. Are you sure you want to pick a monitor on how it displays this Forum?

Hi jonathan moore.
Maybe it is better to put it into "Gear talk"

Now let's talk gear...
Eizo CG246. I've had it for may be 5 years and to be honest I've never really liked it.
Why? Without this information no one would understand what you like and what not.
All I shoot is wine in a studio and the images are for digital use rather than physical prints.
Monitors cannot print. Nor do they drink wine :-) And "digital use" can be anything.
But I guess you mean you produce jpg images for your own wine shop's website? Hence a monitor with sRGB colors (gamut) would be good enough then, do you mean this? What else do you do (or plan to do in the next 5 years) with the monitor, e.g. do you want to see 4k videos, etc, etc. maybe tell the community more about your requirements and preferences.0 -
Sometimes I ask myself why am I taking my time trying to help others, maybe a simple answer would have been better. Buy an Eizo CS2731.
