Quicker way to "Apply Style to New Layer"
LoggedWhat problem do you see this solving?
This is only a minor thing but it bothers me with every photo I edit. I have many styles and presets which I use on layers. For me it almost never makes sense to apply a style (or at least.. more than one style) to the base layer. In the styles panel, clicking a style applies it directly to the base layer. Many of my styles are what I would call "utility" styles which change something specific but aren't in themselves a complete "look". I tend to stack these up on individual layers. I realise this probably won't sound like a big deal, but it's still a bit slow and fiddly to have to right-click and choose "apply to new layer".
My suggestion is for something like speed edit, where perhaps holding CTRL and clicking a style would quickly add it to a new layer. And perhaps holding ALT and clicking a style could apply it to the selected layer.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Daily, it's a regular part of my workflow.
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
I'm not aware of a workaround.
Are you happy to be contacted further about this suggestion or request?
Yes.

Slightly disappointed this has been completely ignored, seems like it would be so easy to implement

Hi Simon,
Thanks for your post. You can get around this by creating versions of your Styles that apply to Layers. Additionally, if you use the same Styles frequently, you can assign shortcuts to them to apply them even faster.
