Importing from memory card

Good day,

Frustrated by not able to import images from a memory card. When I try to import, will bring up another window. Is this expected? I thought this would be a simple process but only frustrating!

Can someone provide a step by step description. I must be missing one step.

  Are you trying to import directly from the card inside the camera to Capture One?
