    M1 MAX 64 RAM. Ventura 13.
I just woke up my computer again with session open from previous night, and immediately c1 froze. Its already 4 or 5th time. Thus motivating me to write here...  All sessions are on fast ssd-s, and it never happened with c22.

Should I upgrade to Sonoma? If C1 shows better performance there - I will.

I would not upgrade to Sonoma. Better to change as little as possible while this is being diagnosed. Make sure you open a support case.

I have experienced slow performance on v.23 too, on both a M1 MacBook and a M2 Mac Mini. Mainly, the adjustment sliders are agonizingly, painfully slow. I am aware that not all users have this issue (oddly) and for months I tried to find a solution. I submitted a support ticket to C1 and did not get a response. I tired many suggestions I got on forums and nothing helped. I’ve gone back to Lightroom, which performs perfectly, but keep checking back with C1 to see if an update improves things.

    give this a try :

Clear the ImageCore cache by deleting the folder (then restart Capture One). For macOS users, navigate to Hard Drive -> Users -> Shared -> Capture One -> ImageCore (version 12.1.5 and earlier) or Library -> Application Support -> Capture One -> ImageCore (version 20.0.0 and later) and delete it.
