There were multiple reports of this problem and the only solution is to upgrade Capture One to version indicated above or downgrade system, according to the link.

There is obviously a workaround: NOT using cloud for Capture One files. Use standard backup (which could be then redirected to cloud, but that's another story).

    Thank you for your feedback!

I understand that basically, I bought software whose real lifespan is... 1 year.

    A first for me.

Usually the support is at least 2-3 years, if not longer. but there, no. Not even minimum support to fix bugs, you are pushed to buy the latest version.

I'm going to ignore iCloud as much as possible, and when I get tired of it and have made my return on investment, I'll move on to something other than Capture One.

I'm still able to run Photoshop CS6 on Windows (which is a program from 2012)

Good point, up until two years ago I was using ACDSee 32 as my everyday explorer and image browser in a version from... 1998. Gave up on it not because of switching to Windows 10 with a new install, but because the elder did not have Unicode support... and likewise some futuristic image formats like webp or arw.

Still no replacement with such a speed and versatility of file browsing/management and built-in image browser.
