SHARE ONLINE- REMOVE ACCOUNT REQUIREMENT!!!!!!!
Hey guys,
So the situation is this,
Have a shoot coming up where I'm shooting 200 employees in 3 days, basically 70 individuals a day at 3 minutes and 30 images max per person.
Typically on a smaller shoot with less people and more time I will either, ask the individual to come look at the screen and make their selects OR I will send them a gallery later and let them make their selects that way
THE PROBLEM:
I don't want to have to make 200 separate galleries for each employee, double check their favorited images and then make those selections again in capture one
SOLUTION:
I would much rather make independent capture folders, each by name of employee, before the shoot and then shoot to each folder one after another.
I would then share access to each folder with each employee so as they make their selections I would see it live on my end without any need to leave the program.
CAPTURE ONE PROBLEM:
The problem arises when capture one requires each person you share the shoot with to have a capture one account.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
To avoid this issue I thought of just creating the accounts for all 200 people in advance.
ANOTHER CAPTURE ONE PROBLEM
capture one requires a verification code sent to each email before you can create an account. WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO WITH 200 PEOPLE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS
I think this could be one of the coolest features of capture one of it was implemented correctly. All that needs to be done is to remove the need for creating an account, like every other online gallery already does. The need to create the account is the one aspect of this feature that pretty much makes it unusable in commercial photography because you want things to be as seamless as possible for your client

No one is required to create an account today for Capture One Live. They can ignore the request. Yes, I’d support the removal of the message as it’s confusing.

Hi Adam Fahlund,
Regarding your first problem, I think you can already achieve what you want today: if you put all your folders in favorites, you then have the option to "share all favorites" with Capture One Live. Once this is done, you can either give access to the whole session to everyone, or give access to each folder one by one.
For your second problem, as Raymond is rightfully explaining, you don't need them to have an account: just send them a link and they will be able to go in and make their selections.
